Our OT has mentioned that there are Oral Motor Therapy tools that can be used with our AD to help with the chewing, drooling, etc. She says it provides really good "sensory input" for their mouths...thing is, everything I am finding says "WARNING: Choking hazard, not for under age 3!"...my girly is 17 months...anyone found anything that will work for a child this age? I am told that when we find the right thing, she will most likely prefer that to chew on over everything else(would sure be nice, cause she is chewing door frames and her crib rails(although, we are covering those with gummi rail protectors tomorrow)...the only thing that stops the incessant drooling is a binky, and eventually, that isn't going to be available to her. Thanks in advance for any BTDT! I wish we could just use the Z Vibe...but, all of the literature says it is a choking hazard...and we are needing something she can chew on ALOT of the time!

My son had a lot of motor issues when he was younger. Oxygen tubing was the best thing!!! I went to our ped and they gave it to me; when it got gross I would chunk it!
These vibrating teethers work nicely. It gives them the oral stimulation they need & are approved for children under 3. You can find them at the big box stores. We order a lot of things for our little guy from Beyond Play....just got him some "P" & "Q" things for him to chew on...they say there for kids 10 months and older. He LOVES his new chewy toys.
My son loved the P & Q chewies when he was younger. They worked wonders with him and putting EVERYTHING into his mouth.
