Well we are in the new placement where the worker just seems to have dumped her. I find it really funny the worker said we are more than welcome to come to her myasthenia appointments if we want. LOL we have never been invited anywhere else. She is just worried about the 6 hour drive. Our lawyer went over the court report and it's totally biased.
I told her that still have not made any effortg to get her to family therapy. I told her I have saved all the emails etc. She had be count up the emails and phone callls and there are 25 between Feb 7 and now of me checking on her, checking grades, health, well being and asking about therapy. BAM our lawyer files an email and so do I then suddenly we have a email saying we have transportation for therapy. FINALLY but a little late. Of course the worker did not address any of the other concerns I had asked her about. LIke the case plan tasks we are supposed to do. We have everything checked off and who her new therapist is but we can sure go to the appointment 3 hours away.
Daughter friend requested everyone on Facebook but me of course, my older son told her off so I guess she did not like what he had to say. No one accepted the requests.
Guess we will see how therapy goes. Say a prayer. I know I thhought last visit would go awful and it did not but wow has alot of time passed. I told my husband if the first one goes rough they will probably not bring her back which is sad because I think the first few will probqably go rough but I hope they are willing to give it more than one though I doubt with the way they have handled the entire thing thus far.
Crickets. I am getting one word replies from the worker on anything if at all. Something tells me this case plan and court is going to be just as difficult as the last time.

Do you have a child and youth advocate's office separate from DFS in your state? We do here, and they hold alot of power. If you can prove that you have a "case" (evidence in the form of emails, or letters etc) they will review the case and can REALLY implement change.
We are having to do that in our little one's case as one supervising social worker is adamant the baby be placed for adoption outside our family (high demand for newborn females apparently).
You could call the state attorney general's office and ask them if there is such an office. Sometimes states have a foster care ombudsman, also.
Are you getting responses from the GAL? Is the GAL's job to represent the "best interests" of the child, or "the child's interests" -- that is, what the child wants.
In the beginning the GAL thought we were the devil. She believed my ddaughter. Now she knows different. She said we will get a court order if we have to for the therapy. Funny how now she is in our corner but if she had bothered to talk to anyone in the beginning she could've been in our corner from the start and this whole mess would not have gotten so out of control. She tells me she never gets updates from the agency so would I please keep her informed. HTH does the agency have all the power! Do lawyers not mean anything?
