I apologize if this is the wrong thread to be posting in; I had difficulty with how to navigate this site properly.
My biological Father was adopted when he was three months old, (I think), and committed suicide when I was two years old.
Now that I am legally able to try and look for his parents, I have no idea where to start in searching.
My Mother is not someone I can go to in this matter and while his adoptive parents (one is deceased) don't seem to have any issues with trying to help, I know that it is all together a very touchy situation and I don't want to cause any problems within the family.
I am open to discussion of all information.
I am seeking to find his parents only for health records, though should either party wish to be apart of my life I would be open to that as well.
My name is River.
My father's name was Paul.
Thank you for your time!
I am sorry for your loss River...growing up without a dad . Tell us his date of birth and where he was born so we can tell you how to begin your search. Each state is different :wings:

Hey River, its kinda tuff looking for documentation when you have so little.
If you know where your father was adopted, the court records are there. There may be something in those records that will help even if the records are sealed.
If the records are sealed it may be difficult to get the information you seek. If the records are sealed, the Clerk of the Orphans Court can give you information on how to access the records. Accessing the records does not mean they are not still sealed. You will be allowed to have only non identifying info. The Clerk of the Court will not give you legal advice.
It may be that you need attorney help. Many attorneys provide a first interview that is without charge in an attempt to see if there is enough evidence to co to court.
I wish you the best.
