I have two questions about applying for Certificate of Citizenship.

Child #1 was adopted at "15" and entered the US on an IR-3 visa. Was supposed to take oath of citizenship but appointment was canceled by USCIS. In the meantime, we readopted the child and have changed his birthdate to reflect him as being 13. After we get his new name on his SSN, can we go ahead and apply for COC?

Child #2 was adopted in 2007. Has permanent resident status. Was also recently readopted. After getting his new SS card, can we apply for COC with him?

For child #1 who came home on an IR3, did they not send you the COC? That should have been issued automatically.

For child #2 (sounds like an IR4 visa?) if you have completed the readoption process you can apply for the COC.
