So we have our first of three home visits tonight. Part of me is very nervous and the other part of me says, if they don't like our place it wasn't meant to be.
Yeah, and as I say that my muscles all get tense and I get butterfly's in my stomach.
So, if anyone feels compelled, we could use some prayers around 5:30 this evening.
Thanks!

I'm so glad your second one went well too! I just had my third interview yesterday. She wanted to see me individually twice. She has her first individual interview with my husband next Thursday. So just Two more for him and then another one for us together again. I think mine went really well. She seemed impressed my life story so hopefully that all helps! :happydance:
She is going to call me next week for my "third visit" because she felt she heard enough. We can support each other through this tedious process! :) The wait is hard, I want it all done this week :)
I had to sign releases since I was licensed before for them to talk with them. This was done yesterday, also received the home inspection list. Have they done the home inspection?
She is busy writing my homestudy now and thinks shell be done with it and it to her supervisor the week of June 10th :) Any idea when yours will be done? Kinda nice to be sitting back and relaxing for a minute though as the process is long.
I am super mad and sad  the county called today to do our interview and they only had two days next week which neither my husband could get off  so they said that's the only two they had and I was wondering why they don't have more? So they said there is nothing until next year  I am disappointed :(

Nothing until next year? That doesn't make sense, they must've misunderstood something...
It's amazing seeing how different it is from state to state..here you attend a brief orientation, they visit your home to give you all the paperwork and do a quick walk through just to see the basics. You fill out the paperwork, mail it in, and then you have only 3 classes...one of which is online. You have one final homestudy which is about an hour and you are done!
Moesky yours is quick!. What state are you in? Are you through an agency or county? The states differ SO SO much!
Here you go through the classes.. turn in your paperwork.. now I am with a county they come out write your homestudy. She ended up having to do a 3rd face to face home visit due to regulation changes...which was completed last Thursday
Then they get you to sign it, her supervisor looks it over then they give it to the county.. then they go through do the home inspection and then it goes to certification!! So the process is odd because technically they have my homestudy in hand prior to knowing if I will get certified.. since the county will not even know what is really going on in the homestudy (unless they communicate without my knowledge).
So now my home visits are over... waiting for her to write it up then for me to review it :)
Miss- That DOES Not sound right.. we are ONLY in June now and until next year?? Which part are you in the process?
Next year?! That doesn't sound right at all. Is there someone else you can talk to?
Here (Oregon) you go to an orientation then fill out all the paperwork, then 9 Foundation classes, then 4 to 6 interviews (our 4th is Thursday!) then she writes up the homestudy, it goes to the supervisor for approval and then we're certified!

Signed my homestudy, waiting for the county now to say that they received it. So now only dealing with the county, since my homestudy was contracted out :cheer:
Dealing with one agency makes it easier...
Then going to have her come to my house to review homestudy with myself, and then shell take it to the certification team..then home inspection and ill be done...
What a journey.
