Can anyone who has dealt with a teen with bi polar share with me how the child acted. This is one of the diagnosis that has been tossed back and forth with our 15 yr old. From what I read it never seemed to fit him. He just had a psychological eval done and while we don't have results yet the dr said he really doesn't think bi polar. He is the first in a long line that ever said that. I am just wondering what the child was like that had this to get an idea if the fact I don't feel it is bi polar may be accurate or if maybe it is and I just didn't read the right stuff.

My son is bipolar. It presented in a different manner with children vs adults. Children don't have the swings in the same way. They can be both manic and depressive at the same time. I noticed really weird sleep patterns. I have to run out, but if you have specific questions, I can post more later.
