I'm not in orange county but I just had a class on Wraparound so I know about it. It's a multi-step approach to helping children with adjustment problems. You have a case manager and a team of therapists who can work with you, the affected child, other children in your home, etc. in your home, in an office as well as in the community.
You also have access to kid nights where the kids play games that get them talking about what's going on and parent's nights that do the same. It's a very intense, involved program.
If your child has some serious issues it could really be worth it but do know that you'll have about five people in and out of the house working with you. Some of our support group are in it and enjoy it.

I'm a County FP. Is the subsidy the same for wraparound program? Just asking, I would wait on calling placement for my empty room. This way i could devoted my time to this child.
Some kids in the program receive a higher subsidy if they have a special need. The program itself is covered 100%. I know I have a RAD child but haven't gotten any extra on the stipend. I haven't asked but it is based on levels. So, yes, a child who needs a lot of support may be at a higher level.
