Adoption Events before home study?

There are several children listed on the website for the county next to us. I am getting so impatient because we have had to reschedule and put off everything for over a year now. :hissy: :grr: I know asking the caseworker anything about a child before the home study is approved is pretty pointless, but has anyone contacted a caseworker to inquire about any events? They don't have anything posted on the site, but for whatever reason I feel like I need to do something, ANYTHING that even remotely resembles progress at this point.
