Hi Everyone,
So here is the deal. We have a baby girl who we got from the hospital. We finalize the adoption at the end of the month. Her full blooded sister should be born any day now. The Mom is currently clean for the past 3 months, and the Father just got released from jail on drug and gun charges. They live in a motel and want to keep this next baby. We had to get an exception to take another baby because he have 2 under 2 already. CPS will not tell me for sure what is going to happen although we had to get prepared and buy everything to care for this new baby. Has anyone had a similar situation? Did they take the new baby? The Mom waived her right to services and courts terminated parental rights in Feb. on our daughter. The Mom wants the baby to be placed with us IF she gets taken and also wants me to be there during birth. This will be number 5 and she does not have custody of any of her children. They also have a history of Domestic Violence together and that has been documented throughout this case. Thank you for your insight and advice.
It would sound to me like the child will be taken but I'm not sure if it's just because of prior TPR within the same year or if they are suspecting drug use. Do you know for sure she is clean?

Buddy's baby sister is still with Bio Mom. She was born four months after Buddy's adoption was finalized. From what I can tell, Mom is really trying to turn her life around and seems to be doing well with this little one.
I had heard that subsequent kids could be removed automatically, but that didn't happen in this case. In your shoes, I would make sure that I had the space to take the little one if he/she became available, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
