So does anyone know how this works. Our fs mother was doing good and the court said that if the agency felt it appropriate the kids could go home once a secure job and place to live happended. Well now she was charged witth illegal transportation of alcohol. She is still on probation and is to refrain from drugs and alcohol. How will this hinder the reunification process?
it won't be good.
will it delay RU? I would think that likely. I don't know what the odds are of conviction or the penalty where you are, so that would have to be factored in. if she loses her parole over this, there's no chance of RU in the immediate future.
truthfully? sometimes parents get so close and then mess up because of a multitude of reasons. sometimes they have a lapse. sometimes they're scared. it doesn't matter why to the courts, though.
praying for the best outcome for the children.
