Long story short, I ended up getting a reply from my biological brother online. This is the first of my bio-family to actually reply to anything I've sent. He seems interested in finding out more, but it also sounds like he wasn't told about my existence. (He was 2 and a half at the time I was born and my not remember his mom, my bio-mom, being pregnant.)
He is being understandably cautious and wants to -really- verify things before talking too much more. I let him know the case workers name and number and I plan on calling her in the morning to let her know to expect a call from him, but of course its late now and I have no idea what a sibling-to-sibling exchange of information through CC will involve.
Will they even verify the adoption for a sibling? Would I need to go to the office to sign some sort of release form? I've already given them $200 for the initial search which only led to my bio-mom talking a couple of times to the case worker on the phone.. All identifying information I ended up getting on my own.
Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated.
My dh was adopted thru cc in a diff state. We found his bio sis who was adopted into a diff family and he contacted her. She thought he was scamming her until the cc worker confirmed...hopefully that cc office will do the same. Good luck!

I'm glad to hear the case workers are able to verify for people! Thanks for letting me know!
Turns out the old case worker no longer works there, so I was given a new person to call. New one seems to have been made aware that I'd be trying to get in touch so she's going to pull the file and get back to me. I passed this new info on to the bio-bro. Crossing my fingers that the switching of people doesn't scare him off or something. I'm sure he's just wanting to verify to prove I'm not a scammer as well.
I remember my dh being annoyed! She actually dropped the f bomb on him! I reminded dh of what a cautious person he was and we laughed. His bsis lives cross country but they have had some contact...no meetings yet...best!
