Well here I am once again, in the wide open internet looking for what seems to be the equivalent to a needle in a hole lot of hay stacks... Though this time it seems there is quite a different feel to it, before now it was more look and if I found that's great.. Now, I feel that I a Really Want to search/ be found.. Things have changed, not so much for me ..but things in my life... My adoptive parents have always been up front and honest about me being adopted, and they never treated me any different because of it.. But a little over a year ago adapted mother passed away, and this has really brought things home for me.... I'm a happy man, life is good.. I'm not looking to turn someone's life upside down, I'd like to know the medical stuff and maybe just maybe finally see someone that looks like me.. Life is a beautiful thing, but shorter than we think... Are you looking for me, is anyone?
Unfortunately many birth parents don't realize how hard it is to find them, If you haven't, you should check with the registrar to be sure that a birth parent hasn't oked you getting your OBC.....The law in Colorado was revised and went into effect 1-1-2007 (House Bill 05-1287).....An adult adoptee can apply to the State Registrar and request a "non-certified" copy of their original "unaltered" birth certificate, " IF " at least one birthparent has released consent. They can tell you at the registrar's office. This applies to all adoptions finalized before 9-1-1999.
