I am hating having to wait to start. We took our initial class (informational seminar) with DSS/CPS in SC in January. But then we got the word from husband's command he was getting out in July, July 23rd. We decided to just put it on hold till we see where he could get a job post military. We are leaning towards going back to TX
Well a big scandal happened at the training facility and they extended everyone who was extendable. We are now extended to December 23. That's his official last date unless he can go under contract for a job and get out a month or so earlier. We still are leaning towards heading back to TX from SC. But we are just on hold since classes and training don't transfer and if we did do the training now we wouldn't be able to take placement on a child for any length of time which is a problem because these kids deserve permanency.
Anyway I'm just frustrated with waiting. We made the decision to go forward and now we can't. :(

After being turned down the first time we tried, we waited 3 years! It can be hard but while you're waiting spend your time getting anything you can ready and save money for the things you'll need to buy.
Hang in there!
