Abandon by adoptive parent

Hey all, I am currently working through my issues with having been adopted then abandoned by my adoptive father. He is a doctor and used his wealth and power to quickly adopt me and bring me home like someone would a puppy. Then a few short years he and my mom divorce. At that point the man did everything he was bound to do legally by the courts but nothing else. Many would say that is enough but the way I see it is this man promised by birth family that he would give me every advantage and provide a better life for me than they could. Instead he just abandons me and does nothing. My wedding day was at the local courthouse because I had no father to pay for my wedding. My college education is being paid for by student loans and I am slowly going into huge debt to pay for it, when my father sits in a 600,000.00 plus home and paid for all of his other children to go to college. How can he feel okay about adopting me, making promises to give me a better life, and then just ditch me like garbage a few years later? He owns Great American Cookie Co, those cookie shops in the mall. If you are adopted and support other adoptees don't buy their cookies. You are just lining the pockets of a selfish man.
