My dad found some old documents and I finally found my half-brother's contact information. I'm 26, he's 20. As far as I can tell, he doesn't have a facebook or anything but I have his parent's house number and address and as far as I can tell from the info I have, he still lives with them.
How do I go about making contact? Should I call? Write a letter? Any advice would be great.
There is a post somewhere on here that highly recommends an old fashioned letter. This is so your intended recipient has time to process it and respond at a good time (if you call they might be heading out the door late to work or something) and keeps it all low pressure. Include all your contact info in that letter, and let him know that you would appreciate a response but that you are willing to be patient about it.
I did mine by messaging on facebook, but I also made sure say that there was no pressure for a speedy response.
