I've worked over the years with many kids with FASD. I've always felt like I was pretty comfortable with my knowledge and absolutely uncomfortable with adopting/ fostering a child with FAS. However, recently, after being given information on a preadoptive toddler with FAS, I realized that I have never worked with a child who had FAS but did not have other significant issues, mainly PTSD and/ or attachment issues. I'm wondering if anyone can point me toward resources that relate to a parenting perspective (none of my clinical - aka textbook - resources is really giving me what I'm looking for) but also have a good base of knowledge to understand the potential outcomes for FAS kids are and the concerns and/ or positives for parenting a kiddo with FAS? Any recommendations would be very appreciated.
