Reunion Frushtrations, Help?

I just turned 18 and I recently received a reply to a short email i had sent from my bio father. he said he wanted to get to know me ad told me about him and his family. I replied and told him about myself, I was very excited this was the first contact I had ever had with him. However he hasn't responded since. Its been two months and I'm getting frustrated. he has young kids under 10 and I want to meet them and be part of his and there life. i find myself getting really angry because I feel I have a right to be part of there life. am I wrong? his family has welcomed me, but for some reason he doesn't seem as interested as he said he was.. Any advice?
