raising meth and heroin exposed toddler..looking for fellow moms

Hi everyone.

I would love to talk to other moms raising kids exposed in utero to meth and heroin..or one or the other. We are having huge behavioral challenges with our son, who is 26 months old. Anyone out there who would like a friend to talk to??

I would be very grateful. I feel very alone.

First, let me tell you that you are an awesome Mom! Most people don't know what it is like raising children like ours. I would be happy to share our experience with you. My wife and I are raising a 7 year old boy we got custody of at two weeks and are just now beginning to have a measure of relative peace in our home. But we are still "in the trenches" so to speak. We did not know anything about trauma or attachment until he was 4 and had severe problems. Anyway, we would be happy to talk with you.
