I'm trying to figure out how to submit for an adoption dissolve in Idaho. I am 29 years old i was adopted when I was approx 5 years old. I have all my original court documents, my original birth certificate stating my biological father and adoptive father, original adoption case, I have my step father's (it was a step parent adoption) and my mother's divorce certificate, basically everything I need, I know I qualify under Idaho law I just need to purchase the paperwork so I can file it. My stepfather agreed to dissolve, there's no battle here and the lawyer wants to charge me $1500 to file these papers for me .... When all parties are agreeing, The file fee in idaho is $166 so I would like to save the rest because i have to legally change my name because I do not go by my birth name. Does anyone know if this paperwork already exists somewhere so I can simply submit it? I can't find it anywhere. Thank you for your thoughts and or time. I've had an active relationship with my birth parent since I was 18. I understand nobody here is legal advice. Just wondering if someone knows a cheaper route when all the parties are in favor and there is no fighting....
