My mother passed away a few months ago. She was 81. She was loved by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interestingly, some in the group have been adopted into our family, and some we just call "surrogate" children and grandchildren. We have all grown to love each other, and no one loved more than my mother did. It never did matter how members of our family joined us - by marriage, by friendship, by adoption, by birth ... they were equal in importance to my mom. And so, in this Light a Candle forum, I honor my mother. The woman I hope to eventually be like. I love you forever Mom.
