CRYING

I heard you aren't supposed to let preemies cry AT ALL. Is this true? If your preemie baby cries and cannot be consoled, are you supposed to take him to the hospital? This is concerning to me, especially since I have a daughter who used to babysit for a mom who had a preemie ... my daughter was a young teen and I didn't know about this "no cry" rule until after she'd been watching him for a while. Of course, she didn't intentionally let him cry, but once we heard about that, we let the mom know that it's best to have an older person watching him.
