Did anyone have a failed adoption in 2001?

Hi! I know this is peculiar, but I am actually the baby from a failed adoption back in 2000-2001 and I am looking for the couple that was supposed to adopt me. I was born in April of 2001 in Detroit, Michigan and I know that the adoption would have been a closed adoption. I was also born with a heart defect if that helps.
