I have very limited information on my biological daughter; I was not aware of the birth/adoption until she was in her teens. Birth mother has moved around a lot. NY city area seems the most likely birthplace. Birth mother has lived in Staten Island and possibly in Brooklyn. May also have lived in Tallahassee, FL. My daughter is Caucasian, short, with brown hair. We have seen each other in person, but only for a few seconds. Birth date unknown: would have been July through October 1983.
I WAS BORN IN PORT CHARLOTTE FLORIDA, 10/11/1983, ALL I WAS TOLD WAS MY MOTHERS NAME MAY BE KELLY SMYTHE, AND MY BIRTH FATHER WAS ABOUT 19 AT THE TIME OF MY BIRTH. MOTHER MAYBE 17 AT THE TIME.

Emily: I'm very sorry, but I'm not the person you're looking for. I really sympathize with your frustration, believe me, there's lots of frustration for bio parents looking for adoptees, too. I have been searching for my daughter since 1999. I sincerely hope you find your birth parents...best regards...
Thanks for the sympathy, I know it's frustrating from all sides, I should ammend my signature to reflect that I guess :). I just am updating all the posts of mine I can find, because I have now found my birthfamily, just days after I posted on this thread, actually. Things are moving very, painfully slow, but it is definitely worth it to be able to have some truth. Best of luck to you in your search, and consequentially, reunion!

Wish you the best of luck. (Birth mom in this thread was 39 at the time. Also, I'm now 99.9% sure I know who my bio daughter is -- and she knows who I am.) Thanks anyway for the kind inquiry.
i have always been told my mother was from up north but came to florida to have me n gave me up for adoption right when i was born on 10/11/1983 in port charlotte, florida. i was told that my father probably knew nothing about me and my moms name may have been kelly. just maybe?
Sorry, but I have found my biological daughter. I'll see about removing the post. I sincerely wish you the best of luck in your search.
