My name is Laura and my husband and I are beyond ready to begin building our family. Our plan was to have a family of 2 children...1 "genetic" and 1 adopted of the opposite sex. It is coming up on a year now that I have been undergoing infertility treatment with no success. I'm aching for my family and am ready to begin the adoption process.
We live in Virginia and are interested in adopting internationally. If you have any knowledge of who we should being speaking with or where we should go you sharing will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Laura W.

Laura,
I am new here and hoping that I am doing this correctly. We live in Richmond VA and are in the middle of adopting 2 beautiful (okay I am a little bias) baby boys from Guatemala. We researched and they seem to have the shortest time frames for adoption. We began the process on March 5 and have 2 babies that we are now starting the process in country with now. I can recommend a WONDERFUL women for your homestudy and can tell you everything you need to know about your documents and what not. Of course things vary depending on your choice of country. Where you should start though is with the INS (BCIS). you can download a I 600A form and need to submit that. It will take about 2 months to process that and you will need that in most instances before you can accept a referral. I must tell you it will be much more easy to answer any questions and explain things to you in person. You can email me at nacgirl@comcast.net then I can give you my home number and we could really get down to business. If you are interested.:)
