I do not have much information regarding my adoption. I do know that I was born in Peoria, Illinois in January of 1969. I was under the understanding that my mother was young although I do not know for sure. I am not sure of the adoption agency that was used. I have been raised in the surrounding Springfield area.

I have some new info on my hubby so here goes..He was adopted through Covanant Childrens Home in Princeton, Illinois, 9-1-69. He was delivered at Anderson Medical Building in Chigago. His hair is a reddish-brown, and he has green eyes. Not real curly, but kinda. The front page is covenatly missing on his "newborn record". If this sounds familiar to you or anyone, well, ya'll know what to do. Thanx for reading my post. Liz

I am from Peoria and I am three years younger then you, but my situation is different, I am the birthmother who put a son that I have found up for adoption. My husband is looking for his birthmom and siblings. He just found out that his mom was 39 when she had him and had older kids too. He was born 10/28/69 in Chicago. He would like to find his brothers.

My brother was born in Chicago Area, Dec. 2, 1965 and was adopted by my parents. He has yet to find his birthmother. I believe her first name was Beverly.

I don't think that my husband would be your half-brother. His mom was "supposedly" older like 38 when she had him in October 1969. But she already had some kids and was married, and had an affair. Does this sound famialiar to anyone?

My fiance was born 4/17/67? in Springfield Il? Birth story was mother was an unwed concert pianist, father was a bricklayer and irish. Red Hair was attributed to the mother, but sketchy info. His hair was bright red at birth, his description is 5'9", 200lbs, fair skin, freckled, stocky build, hair is now light ash brown, balding on top I have a photo email me at cadenceshepherds@yahoo.com

I gave birth in Peoria in 1969 but have found my son. If anyone is wanting help with their search, join the Yahoo group Soaring Angels. Just go to yahoo.com and click on the link to groups and type Soaring Angels. THis is a group of search angels who don't charge and they can work miracles sometimes. If you are not registered with the ISRR and IARMIE at the IL Dept of Health, do so. You can get non-ID info that could help in your searches.
