It took me a while to find this board. I'm a little confused by the layout but I think i'm getting the hang of it.
I had forgotten all about this place, good thing admins sent me an email.
I'm an adoptee. My parents live in MI, my birth family lives in Korea. I had the opportunity to visit my birth family in Korea back in 2000.
I'll be 25 soon, I have two children, 5 and 3, and recently seperated from my husband. We live in the Austin TX area, just moved here from San Francisco. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. :)
Welcome to the Christian Adoption boards Elizabeth. What took you to TX from CA? My family is mostly in TX, Ft.Worth area but we live in the Northwest now (dh's career took us here). I love the hill country of TX, especially around Lake LBJ.
Our second son's paternal birthgrandmother is Korean. It is so very special that you were able to actually get together with your birthfamily. That is rare for internationally adopted people. Perhaps you could share how you were able to research your adoption and find your birthfamily. It might be an encouragement to others adopted internationally.

HI Elizabeth- I just answered an earlier post you wrote. Sorry to hear about your separation from your husband- that can be so painful and make your adoption journey much more challenging and wrought with emotions. I would love to connect you with some other wonderful adoptees online and get you some ongoing support. It is wonderful to fellowship with other adoptees and those touched by adoption. The understanding and peer support they give to me feels at times even closer than family! Blessings to you Elizabeth and praying for you today!
