Help- Is Guatemala not accepting Singes to adopt?

I have a friend who is single and is in the process of adopting from Guat. I haven't heard that it is closed to singles. I'll have to ask her. ?????

Dear KellyMom, Thank you for the link! I must say it put my mind at ease as I am not gay. However, my heart goes out to those affected by this situation. I know that Guat has been a very liberal country which, although more expensive, is attractive for those wishing to adopt due to the speed, short travel time, and healthy children. I just read that link.IT says they are not letting gays and lesbians adopt.Straight singles can.I do feel more intrnational countries should allow men to adopt .Steve congratulations hope your with your forever child soon
