Born in Tachikwawa, Japan 5/1/50 (Keiko Ishikawa) and adopted to military family and raised in the U.S. Have verified birthfather, Kenneth Weintz U.S. Air Force, now deceased. Hi! New to all this! Please forgive if I sound weird. I was born in Japan (Yokohama) 3/29/59. Surname is Ono. Born to a single Mom and maternal grandparents. Adpoted by a Filipino navy family and now living in the US (Arizona). How do you go about finding a birth mother in another country? My birth father may have been a Texas marine. Any help or advice would be appreciated.:)

Do you have your original birth certificate and kosecki in regards to the biological (Japan) family? Japan maintains meticulous records, but in regards to adoption 'we' become extremely limited, since they don't truly acknowledge those of us that have weathered adoption. I was born in Yokohama, Japan on Feb. 20, 1971. My birth name was Tairon Kawa or Tairon Ka (not certain of surmane). My adopted parents re-named me Terry Taro Stead and I am now living in New York.
I too am starting my search for my birth mother. Her name is Suk-Ja Ha, or Yoshiko Ha. The information that I have on her has her being of Korean descent but born in Yokohama Aug 1947. I have no known information on my birth father, an African-American serviceman.
If anyone can give me any advise as to how to start, it would be greatly appreciated.
