Hello,
There is a biracial baby boy (3/4 Caucasian, 1/4 AA) who was born on Dec 20, 2002 and needs a family...both birthfamilies are highly educated with no history of drug or alcohol used during pregnancy...however, the baby has a form of sickle cell anemia.
here are the requirements for a home:
Open adoption with 2 visits per year
Adoptive family needs to be in CT, NY, NH, MA, NJ, VA, PA or DC
Adoptive mom needs to be a full time stay-at-home mom
For more information call Ellen at 415-453-0902

I will keep you all in my prayers as this sounds like a wonderful situation. If it weren't for the req. of full time stay at home mom I would have already called. This will limit a lot of couples and single parents but I'm sure he will end up with the family that God has planned for him.
I had a cousin that had sickle cell, I pray the family that accepts him is prepared but also that they know ***these children are TRUE angels!***
Good luck, I hope this little angel doesnt have to wait too long.
(I am a single AA christian woman in VA and home all but 2 days a week--If you are still having trouble please feel free to email me privately.) :)

Would they consider a family from NC. We are a military family homestudy ready, We have great insurance and our home is in NC about a little less than 2 hours from VA. We are looking for a very open adoption arrangement. I will be a full time stay at home mom. I truly don't want to miss any of the first.
