I am not lds. I am pregnant.
I would like to know if an lds couple would be willing to let the child choose his or her own religion if a non lds person placed with an lds family?
Hello Longgreengrass!
To answer your question I would say that choosing a family through LDS Family Services would mean that the child is raised LDS. The parents would probably prefer if the child remained LDS when older but understand that the child has to find what they believe to be true in their own hearts in the end. If you are asking would the family expose them to other religions throughout there life, this is probably a possibility on a family by family basis depending on if they have friends/family of other religions. Good luck to you!

If your child was placed in an LDS home they would be raised LDS. Growing up LDS I was not exposed to other religions. But my sister is now a member of another church. I still love her and am happy that she found a religion that works for her. We are trying to adopt through LDSFS and we would raise our child that way. However if when they are older they want to pursue other religions I would try and be suppotive and loving toward them.
