I know I wrote in a previous thread that my husband and I were just chosen this week by a birthmother and we're due in October. Now, my question is, we're supposed to write the birthmother a letter now and I'm not exactly sure what to write. Our case worker suggested telling her our appreciation to her, about being excited for the baby, but also focus on her as well. I want to ask her so many questions and tell her all about us, but I don't want to throw everything at her all at once. Any suggestions on this first letter to our birthmom?
Thanks!

Congratulations!!!!!
I really happy for you!!!
I would think that questions about the birthmother would be good, and that maybe you should describe what happened when you got "the call". Read some of the birthmothers posts in their forum, it helps to understand that frame of mind that they are in right now. Maybe start it off with, "We have so many questions, and so many feelings, It is hard to express them all in one letter. So hopefully, this letter will just be the start." Then just ask about 10 or so questions
