What is Kids Help Phone
Every day, Kids Help Phone answers approximately 1,000 calls and online questions from young people in almost 3,000 Canadian communities who are looking for information, support and guidance. No issue is too big or too small.
Bell Walk for Kids is a national event supporting Kids Help Phone Canada's only 24-hour, toll-free, bilingual and anonymous phone counselling, referral and Internet service for children and youth. It is committed to the protection of children against physical, emotional and sexual abuse through education, prevention and intervention. Professional counsellors answer approximately 1,000 calls and online questions every day from young people about a range of concerns, including sexual, physical and emotional abuse, drugs and suicide.
Thank you for your generous support - it is helping to protect kids across Canada from all types of abuse.
The Bell Walk for Kids in support of Kids Help Phone is a national pledge-driven event to raises funds. This years walk will be held on May 4.
Some good reasons to support Kids Help phone
Eight-year-old "Henry" had more questions than answers about the uncle who wouldn't stop touching him. He called Kids Help Phone to get help.
Eleven-year-old "Vincent" was scared to walk home from school because a group of bullies had started tormenting him and calling him names. He logged on to kidshelp.sympatico.ca looking for support.
Sixteen-year-old "Ren֩e" turned to a life of drugs and violence after running away from an abusive home. She also turned to Kids Help Phone.
