Hi Jessica,
Hope you're adoption plans are going smoothly. I'm so curious to know how you are liking Angeldance. My husband and I have had some conversations with LInda, who is great! However, I haven't met or known anyone who has used her services and I 'd love to know what your experiences have been. You may email me privately if you'd like. I'm at oneilfor@optonline.net. Thanks so much!

Hello..things are going GREAT!! I could not speak higher of Angeldance..There are about 3 or 4 other couples on my adoption board that are using Angeldance and are alot closer to completion then i am but thats because of us not the agency...If you dont already belong and want to check it out you can go to Yahoo groups and put in Belarus adoption ...we would be happy to have you join us you will learn a ton about the different agencies and the whole completion of adoption in Belarus...I have learned everything i have needed to know from that board...Hope to see you around and good luck on your adoption!!!
Carol,
Hi!. www.Angeldance.org is the site, but it is not complete yet. She only has her first page done. The info. that Red gave me above was really good. You, too, should log onto the Yahoo groups for Belarus Adoptions. There is an enormous amount of information about everything including the agencies... I've been researching adoptions for a very long time and I had no idea such a valuable resource was out there!

Thanks for the info. I'll see you all at the Yahoo Belarus group. I got an email from Linda at Angledance and plan to talk to her tomorrow.
I also got an email back from IAG, it kind of cracked me up. You see, I mentioned that my parents keep a car and tent trailer in Holland, about 20 hours from Minsk, and that we'd like to take my 15 year old stepson and drive out there via Scandinavia, and go back via Warsaw to complete the paperwork.
"Your plans for travel are totally unreasonable. There are certain
requirements for travel which ust be followed. You have no idea of the complications involved. What you propose is not possible."
Gee, excuse me! Is that because they want to charge us a fortune to get chaffeured around the whole time we're there?
Carol
Elli,
HI! If you made it to the computer ( and far enough to get to this adoption forum) , you do have access to Yahoo. It is a free service. (On the Address bar at the top of the page, type in www.yahoo.com and then look for the word groups on the Yahoo page and click on it.) Ask someone you know to walk you through getting an email address on Yahoo and joining the list. Both take about 5 minutes and won't cost you any money. If you have trouble, you can email me and I'll walk you through the process, but it is easier if someone who can use computers just shows you in person. If you're not computer saavy, don't worry, you can learn a little bit each day, just by experimenting. You won't break anything, so just play around and be patient. Definately join the group, as you will learn a ton. Good luck!

Rain,
Just wanted to mention that nearly all adoptions from Belarus are closed since 2004 -- the PAPs who were discussing their adoptions may or may not have been caught in that slow down and I don't know if they are still on line to discuss their agency, but just wanted to give a heads up to any other people reading this very old thread so they don't get confused about the current status of adoption from Belarus.
Best of luck,
MM
Thanks for letting us know, but we are adopting from Thailand. We just wanted to know people's feelings on the agency "Angeldance". That makes me sad that adoptions from Belarus have nearly shut down. There are so many kids all over the world needing permanent families! Politics just make me sick sometimes. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas/tips/advice on Angeldance we'd appreciate it!
