I'VE JUST READ THIS BOOK. THE STORY OF ANTWONE FISHER. I'VE HAD THE BOOK FOR SOME TIME- THEN THE MOVIE CAME OUT( WHICH I HAVEN'T SAW YET). I THINK THAT HIS STORY HAS ALOT OF FACES - THAT CAN AGREE WITH THE THINGS THAT HE HAS EXPERIENCED. I 'M JUST SUGGESTING EVERYONE THAT HAS FOSTER OR ADOPTIVE CHILDREN SHOULD READ THIS BOOK. I NOW SEE WHAT ALOT OF KIDS GO THROUGH THAT MAKES THEM THE PEOPLE THEY TURN OUT TO BE. SOME GOOD - SOME BAD. WE AS PARENTS ARE THE FORMERS OF LIVES -WITH GOD HELP. THIS BOOK HAS GIVEN ME HOPE FOR THE LIFE GOD HAS BLESSED US WITH.
I did see the movie. So inspiring! My Mother & father in law recently saw him speak at a fostercare type organization fund raiser. They said he was wonderful. I would like to read the book. The movie is now out on rental.

YOUR THE FIRST TO REPLY TO THIS THREAD. THANK YOU. YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK. THE BOOK IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE MOVIE. THE MOVIE HAS ALOT OF FICTIONAL CHARACTERS THAT WERE NOT INVOLVED IN THE BOOK. JUST PUT IT THIS WAY- THE BOOK TELLS ALL. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT HE WENT THROUGH. HE BECAME A BETTER PERSON THOUGH. I WOULD LOVE TO MEET OR EVEN HEAR HIM SPEAK. READ THE BOOK IT'S BETTER. THE MOVIE DID PUT FACES TO SOME OF THE PEOPLE. IT'S AN INSPIRATIONAL STORY.
