DOES ANYONE HAVE THE PROS AND CONS OF (AASK) AID TO ADOPTON FOR SECIAL KIDS? THS IS IN PHOENIX. AZ
I have heard good things about them and have met a few caseworkers from there at a "Fun Fest". I have used Arizona Action For Foster Children for the past 10 years. They are in Tempe.

Hi there,
My husband and I just finished the adoption classes with AASK, and are pretty happy with them so far. If you have any other questions, let me know.
Karin
What are these classes that so many peple make referense to? Does everyone take them? How and where?
The classes are for those who are adopting through AASK, and are required for adoption or foster care through AASK. Contact AASK to find out when and where the orientations are (that's the first step). Their number is: 602-254-2275. Hope this helps.

WE WENT THROUGH (AASK) FOR OUR ADOPTION PLANS. WE HAVE NOTHING TO SAY OTHER THAN THEY WERE THE BEST. WE ENDED UP USING THEM FOR OUR HOME STUDY FOR AN INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION. THEY HELPED US ALL THE WAY. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN DOMESTIC OR INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION. THERE FEES FOR THE HOME STUDY IS VERY REASONABLE AS WELL. VERY NICE PEOPLE TO WORK WITH.
why did you not call them this there phone number

Lynn, I am currently enrolled in the PRIDE classes and although we had a rocky start with AASK, I'm finding things much more positive now. Have you started your homestudies yet? Feel free to PM me if you like!

What is a FUn Fest? Can anyone go to them? Is it a place to meet other foster parents and chldren that need adoption or foster care?
What is fun feast and how do I find out more about it? I have finished my MAPP classes at AASK and have my home study in two weeks. I am excited to start the process where I actually have children in my home.
What kind of problems did you have with AASK. I am done with the MAPP classes but I am not feeling a very positive reaction from my licensing agent. I am kind of shy and I don't think I am answering the questions as they want.
I have compted my home study and the home inspection. I was so worried. I changed jobs before finishing and I hope it doesn't hold me up any. It was sent over to sign off the home study and then to the staet.  :rockband:
