Well we've got the pre-dossier in and it looks like 2 little girls
are coming our way from Ekaterinberg! We are so excited, the girls will be from 1-3 years old. Our age was really no big deal
for the agency. I guess that especially with Russia and China, they are getting parents up into their 50's now.
Being both 47, we have a little bit of history. Of course I have some fears. I jokingly tell my relatives that at least one of the
girls will have to be geriatric specialist, so she can take care of her parents (or change our Depends!)
Anyway, all joking asside. We have no qualms at all. Both of us are in good health and we now have much more money than when we were younger (boy is that nice when you look at the cost of international adoptions!). And we have a pretty good extended family.
I would not hesitate to tell anyone a bit older who wants to adopt not to go for it!
