Michael from Florida

Michael is a 14-year-old male child. He is currently placed at the Bayside Boys. He is no longer at the same group home as his sisters, Ava and Sienna. He was noted to be struggling in his previous placement. He is receiving counseling through Carlton Manor, and they are in the process of changing his therapist. Prior to his placement change he had ran for a period of time. He is expressing lots of frustration regarding living his sister. He just finished at countryside high school 9th grade. He will be going into 10th grade come August 2023. He is up to date with medical and dental. Overall, there are some current concerns for Michael's stability and mental health. Case management and the GAL noted that he has been pulling away a bit. The department is looking for ways to secure permanency for the child. He is really eager to get out of foster care and wants to participate in MMA
