from Idaho

Those that know Carter best are quick to share how sweet and empathetic he is and how much he loves hugs from people that he knows. Carter truly values quality time and being near others. This sweet boy has a wonderfully vivid imagination and enjoys activities that involve dressing up and fighting off the bad guys! Carter really wishes that he could fly and shoot laser beams out of his eyes to help save the world but knows that his brave personality will carry him through even without those superpowers! Spring and Summer bring some of Carter’s favorite outdoor activities, like playing in splash pads, participating in 4H, and getting out on the sandlot for Baseball. Carter also enjoys going on nature walks and watching sports. In fact, he’ll watch just about any sport if someone is watching it with him! Carter has a wide variety of interests and sometimes a change of environment or a calm redirection helps him to get the most out of his day. When hanging out inside, Carter likes to play games on the tablet and listen to Christian Rock. He doesn’t watch a lot of television but when he does, his go to show is called ‘Descendants’. You might say Carter is a huge fan of the show, as he knows the whole soundtrack and has high hopes of someday going with his Forever Family to Disneyland to meet the ‘Descendants’ cast in person! Some of the other indoor activities that help to keep Carter engaged are puzzles, coloring, watching YouTube videos and helping out in the kitchen. Carter’s Permanency Team describes the best fit for him as a home that can provide him with close supervision and care. They are ideally seeking a two-parent family, preferably with one stay at home or work from home parent. Although they are hoping to find a family in the Treasure Valley area, his Team is also open to hearing from out of state families who think they may be a fit for him. A family that has a lot of extra time and attention to give to meet his emotional and medical needs will be a great match for this amazing young man! If you think Carter may just be the missing piece to your family, we welcome you to inquire about him today!
