Kira from Texas

Kira is an energetic and happy child who is very inquisitive and curious about her world. She comes across as having a very confident persona, but there is a very soft side to her. Kira is an active youth who enjoys getting out of the house and doing different activities. When she is spending time at home, she enjoys puzzles, playing different types of games, playing with her toys, playing on her iPad and dressing up. She is very vocal about her wants and needs. Kira has a passion for her collection of stuffed animals that she uses to cover her bed. She enjoys the company of others and especially enjoys having someone to play with her. Her favorite food is pepperoni pizza, and her favorite color is pink. If she had three wishes, she would wish for slime, a hoover board and a tablet computer. Kira would like to be involved in cheer or dance.

Kira will thrive in a two-parent home that has foster care experience. Her forever family will be nurturing. Kira thrives in consistency knowing her daily routine and rules; therefore, her family will provide her consistency within a structured environment that is calmer with less commotion. Kira does well when she knows her set boundaries and rules, and they are consistently followed through with. Kira would like to have family with a sibling so she will have someone to play with. If there is a sibling, Kira would do better with a sibling that is either at least 4 years younger or 5 years older than her with the same interest. She will flourish in a home as an only child as well. Her family will need to understand that for a successful placement that a transition may be long and involve services.
