Owen is a humorous, laid-back youth. He adapts to his surroundings easily and he engage well with others. Owen loves to entertain those around him with his sense of humor. With the right accountability and structure, Owen strives to do his best in school. His favorite subjects in school are science, reading, and social studies. He also enjoys sports such as swimming, soccer, and wants to start playing football. In his free time, Owen plays video games, makes origami, or watches anime. To balance the physical activity, Owen likes to spend time alone to decompress from the day. He also utilizes down time as a coping skill. Owen will do well in a two-parent family with a strong male role model. He will do best if he is the only child in the home, and or in a home with very few children. His parents will be structured and maintain a good daily routine. They should be patient and provide him with praise when he does something well and consistent re-direction when he breaks a rule. Owen would love to have a family who is active and encourages him to participate in activities to improve his self-esteem and social skills. He will benefit from a family who encourages and supports his alone time, when needed. Owen will do well in a home that does not have many younger children, and with parents who will provide him time to cool down when upset. He needs a structured home that has boundaries, as well as a home that can be flexible when appropriate.
