We are fortunate to be in a position in life where we feel ready and like God has called us to expand our family. Although our path to parenthood may be more difficult and look different than most, we are thankful for the blessing and miracle we know that’s in store for us through adoption. We may not always understand a path we haven’t had to walk down, but we do understand life can be unpredictable and sometimes difficult. To us, God makes no mistakes. Children are, and will always be a gift.
We may not be in your shoes, but we do understand how difficult this decision may be for you. We want you to know that we are praying for you and your baby as you navigate this process.
We want you to know that we are thankful to you for the blessing of parenthood, if we are the family you choose...

We are Richard and Jaime and this is our story:
For us we never had the option to have a child naturally, but we have always hoped and prayed that one day we would be able to raise a child, or maybe even multiple children. Jaime has known since she was a little girl she would have challenges having a child. This was a conversation between us that happened soon after we started dating and we knew that our journey to parenthood would be a bit different.
We have always loved children and we are very close to our many nieces and nephews (we have 15 of them!), who we love to spend time with and, of course, spoil! We know that we have so much love to spare. Throughout our entire relationship building a happy, loving family has been something that we have strived towards and that will always be a priority. We would love nothing more than to bring a child into our little family.
Over the years we have considered other alternatives, such as surrogacy and IVF, but as we struggle with infertility and growing our family, ultimately we feel that God has been guiding us towards adoption. Although adoption comes with its own set of challenges, raising a child in a healthy household with a joyful upbringing is and always will be more important to us than anything else. We are excited to pour so much love into our future child.
Sometimes you meet someone and your paths somehow just align. Call it a divine intervention, God's will, whatever comes to mind, comes to mind, one thing we know for sure is we are lucky to have each other and are thankful for the journey.
We met when we were 17 (Richard) and 18 (Jaime) years old in high school. We were both at our local Sonic drive-thru at the same time with friends and as life would have it, we exchanged phone numbers. There was a dare involved for Jaime to roll her window down and ask a random group of boys, no one in particular, for a phone number. Richard, the shyest of the group, happened to be the guy who walked up to the car window and gave his number. What a wild bunch of highschoolers we were! Much too young to know where life would exactly lead us, we became best friends almost immediately and after graduating high school we both ended up in San Antonio for college where our paths continued to be aligned. Although we were young and had priorities such as finishing our bachelors and masters degrees, we knew this was it.
We were engaged just after graduation and got married 10 months later (about nine years ago). We’ve been in each other's lives for over fifteen years now. It’s crazy to think how fast time flies. We have grown up with each other and the foundation of our relationship remains to be based on a strong friendship. Even when things are tough, at the end of day the one person we want to talk to about how our day went, or life in general, is each other.
Although life can sometimes be hectic, we strongly believe in facing challenges head on. We do our best to support each other through ups and downs in the best ways we know how. Extending grace and patience as best as we can with the understanding that at the end of the day the sun will shine again no matter how bad the storm.
No matter how busy life gets, we do our best to make time to do the things we enjoy. We love to go out and have a nice dinner (date night!), meet up with friends and family, go to a sporting event, take the dogs on long walks, go camping (with the dogs of course!), and most of all we love to travel (around the US and to other countries).
