Travion from Texas

Travion is such a sweet boy! He loves being in the water! He is instantly relaxed when he is able to be in the warm pool! Travion is typically happy and content. He loves when his caregivers are in close proximity to him and he can hear people talking. He is currently on a ventilator, has a tracheostomy and a G-Tube. He can recognize voices and while he is not verbal, he will attempt to make sounds. Travion requires homebound classes and participate in Speech and Physical Therapy. Travion responds best to sensory objects and material. He is a content child who enjoys listening to music. His favorite genre of music is country music! Travion also enjoys spending time in his stander and being outside when the weather is nice either floating in the pool or riding in the jeep with the top off!

Travion would do best in a two- parent home. He would do well with parents that have a medical background or who are willing to learn more about his complex medical needs. Travion needs to be in a stable, therapeutic home environment where his basic and medical needs are met consistently. Travion's future parents and caregivers will continue to ensure he is provided with nutritional supplements via G-Tube, as approved by therapists and physicians, to promote healthy growth and development. Travion's future parents will be able to meet all his physical needs. Travion will also be given opportunities to participate in age and developmentally appropriate activities that are practical for his complex medical conditions.
