British Comedian and Television Personality
Bowen was born Peter Williams in Liverpool and adopted as a baby nine months old, with the name Jim Whittaker. His adoptive parents were a weaver and a brick-maker in Lancashire, and he had a very happy childhood. He has been the host of the British television quiz game Bullseye since 1981. He lives in a converted railway station in Lancashire and is a devoted fan of Blackburn Rovers football [soccer] team.
He has no wish to trace his birth family and does not approve of tracing in general.
