British journalist

Leitch was born to a very young married couple, too poor to keep him. Theyadvertised in the London Daily Express for adoptive parents and he was placed with new parents when he was eight days old.

He became a newspaper journalist when he grew up, working for The Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian and New Statesman,and is married to the newspaper editor Rosie Boycott.
