The had three biological girls as well as a home as large as their hearts. When you were with The Markims you were family and loved deeply. I miss them.
I was in hillcrest shortly after my 5th birthday in 1979. My sister was there like a month or two before I was. My sister was there like a month or two before I was. I remember I wasn’t allowed any time with her and I could see her literally out in the play area. (There’s 8 years between us) we landed there do to sexual abuse, that said I hated taking baths in their cold porcelain tubs naked in front of everyone with no privacy whatsoever! I cried the whole time I was there and wouldn’t eat. I was very blessed to be sent to a foster family by the name of Markim Dolly and Lary. They lived in Poway and I loved them!!!! It was because of their love for us foster kids I learned what a parents love was supposed to feel like. I was sent back to my mom a couple times but I was blessed to be placed back with the Markims each time I was removed from my mother. We kept in contact on and off through my early 20’s last time I saw them was in 97Showing off my 4 yr old son and yr old daughter. I lost contact with them after that last visit. I tried to look them up knowing that they had bought a house in Ramona last time I saw them. It appears that they may have both passed away. Does anyone k ow what happened to them? Or want to share stories about life with the Markims? They had three bio daughter Shelly, Venus and Lorie.
