Early in our relationship, we discussed the dream of becoming adoptive parents. As a child, Kati learned about the gift of adoption through her church's involvement in local children’s homes. It became something that she knew would be a part of her future family!
Very quickly into our relationship, we were both ready to start a family, and build our future together! Unfortunately on the journey to our family, we have endured some struggles. We have experienced infertility due to medical issues, and also tragically lost our daughter, Emilia, at 26 weeks gestation due to a genetic disorder called Turner Syndrome.
We have decided to begin our adoption journey now so that we can grow our family further & bring a child home to love. We feel that this is the path that was meant for us! We have so much love to give, and we believe it would be a blessing to provide a loving, nurturing home full of laughter, unwavering support, compassion, and endless adventures and opportunities for a son or daughter.
We will forever be thankful to the mother who decides to trust us to parent their child. It is a privilege we will never take for granted!

Anniversary trip to Big Bend!
We met right at the start of the COVID pandemic as many millennials do... online! It was a crazy time to begin a dating relationship - we had to get creative in getting to know each other through “social distancing”! We’ve been inseparable since the beginning & were married 2 years later. We truly found our soulmate in each other!
We were both raised in stable & loving families, and have worked hard to find those kind of qualities in our spouse. We are not perfect, but are always working to improve ourselves and our relationship!
We have the most fun, and humor is a big part of our day to day interactions. We are always laughing at each other’s silliness! We have been through challenging times with the loss of our daughter, and through this experience we have learned that we can count on each other no matter what life presents.
Although our relationship is still in the somewhat early stages, we are both very focused on family & building our future together!

Our Home & Community
We live in a small country town, about 20 mins from “the city”! We love the slower pace of life here, and the huge sense of community that comes with this area! Our home is located in an area with multiple parks, splash pads, and outdoor areas to hang out & play at. We have purposefully created our home to be cozy & welcoming to all who visit. We want our child to feel safe and peaceful in their home at all times! We are both dog lovers and have had multiple dogs as adults. Right now we have a Mini Daschund (Lola - 6 mos), & a Dutch Shepherd (Belle - 6)! We would like to always have a dog in our home and love to spend time cuddling on the couch with them & playing in the backyard. We are Christians and leading a life that honors Jesus is very important to us. We want to raise our child to love God and love people. We enjoy being a part of our church community and attend a small Baptist church in our area. We would love for our child to be a part of the children’s ministry and be active in the youth group as they grow! We are also active with the local school. We enjoy attending school sports events as well as community-hosted events - there are many amazing Holiday activities throughout the year in our area!
Our Extended Family
We can promise you that your child will be raised in a home filled with love & support. We believe in the old saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and we have been blessed with the best village full of family & friends who can’t wait to welcome a new member! We have a HUGE extended family. Kati comes from a family with 7 children, so you can imagine family get-togethers are a giant affair! We have family located throughout Texas, as well as Central America! We absolutely love getting together with both sides of the family and spending quality time together doing many things such as summer vacations, holiday parties & hanging out at the pool! Right now your child would have 7 first cousins to play with, but that number is always increasing (another one is currently on the way!). We have both been truly blessed with loving & caring families who will go to the ends of the earth to take care of the ones they love. Both Arturo & Kati’s parents are very involved as grandparents, and make an effort to be apart of their grandchildren’s lives, even from afar! (We also have multiple great-grandparents on both Kati & Arturo’s side!)
Our Hobbies & Interests
We are both “outdoorsy” people, and love to explore, hike & visit National Parks! We live close to multiple state parks, and when the weather is nice you can find us out hiking a new trail! We are also big “foodies”, and are always looking for a new restaurant to try. Date nights typically consist of a new restaurant we found on social media & then going to the movie theater! We both love to travel, and have made many trips throughout our relationship (Mexico, Colorado, Tennessee & more throughout the US!). Before we met, Arturo traveled internationally quite a bit (England, France, Ireland, Iceland & Canada!), and we would love to take our family on an international trip together someday. We have many friends that we like to get together with for double dates, game nights, etc! Most have children, so we are looking forward to our child getting to make friends with them as well! We are each other's best friend, and love doing life together!

Meet Arturo
About me: I grew up in Virginia with many relatives who immigrated from Central America. I am bilingual - my family’s native language is Spanish, and I would love my children to carry on this tradition and speak Spanish as well! As a teen, my family moved to Texas, and I’ve been here ever since! I have one sister and one niece. Family is very important to me, and I make it a priority to Facetime and call my family whenever I can! Both of my degrees are in law enforcement, and I have spent my entire career working to protect & serve my community. As a child, I was involved in “Young Marines”, & have always had an interest in law enforcement and defending the ones I love. In my free time, I like to workout, and listen to music (mainly classic rock & metal!), and I also enjoy visiting local meat markets to find something new to grill! Why I love Arturo: Arturo is very passionate about his family & will always protect the ones he loves! I love his caring heart, and that he makes me smile every day! - Kati

About me: I grew up in a small town in west Texas, and loved living in the “country” and all of the perks that come with small town living. I have a fraternal twin (my best friend!), and we are the oldest of 7 siblings. After high school I earned my bachelors at a small university in Texas where I also competed in Track & Field! I have always loved athletic events, and currently coach a club volleyball team. My day job is being an educator - I teach middle school health & communications and absolutely LOVE it! I switched careers in my late 20s, and do not doubt that teaching is where I am meant to be. I enjoy cooking & baking and making our home a happy place to be. As much as I love to travel, I am a homebody at heart and put a lot of emphasis on the vibes in our home. Why I love Kati - Kati is the most selfless person & cares very much about family.
