I know this is over a year old, so hope you have found your son. I found it looking for info on St. Vincent's. My birth mom was there as well and I was born August 14, 1970. She is also caucasian of Irish decent, blond hair and blue eyes. I found her last year, but she has been very slow to open up to me. I know very little about her, while I have been open to her. I am hoping to find anyone who might know her. Her name is Joan. I'm thinking she was there at the same time you were. I hope you don't mind me asking if by chance you remember her.
