Hello, All! :D
I just noticed this morning that under my profile, I am listed as having one "referral". It has never been there before, so I was curious what exactly that might mean???
I sort of assumed that it meant someone had complained about me and reported something I've said or done to a moderator -- but I went to several other people's profiles, who I know have been reported, and theirs shows "no referrals".
I've never had anyone object to my posts or openly accuse me of flaming or causing a disturbance, so I was wondering if someone could enlighten me???
Thanks a million -- AND, if I HAVE said something out of line, or hurt someone along the way, I totally appologize! I certainly have NEVER posted with the intent to cause harm. :(
Hugs to All,
Sally

Hi Sally:
Hope you are doing well. Referrals can be collected on AdoptionForums.com. Each person that is registered on AdoptionForums can receive a referral. A referral is when a new member joins AdoptionForums through a link that has been supplied by another person. For example if each member were to go over the the FAQ link at:
http://www.adoptionforums.com/misc.php?s=&action=faq
Scroll down to the section that says "General Board Usage." Then looks for the line that says "What are Referrals." Then clicks on that line they will see the specifics about referrals. The info states that everytime a new person joins AdoptionForums via a link that the forum software administers a referral is given to the person.
If each of us would like to collect referrals we may. All we would need to do is to tell people about AdoptionForums and ask them if they would not mind registering via the http://www.adoptionforums.com/index.php?referrerid=2
link or the link that the software allocated for you. Then the software will automatically add a referral to your name. I have 8 referrals but interestingly I did not give out the above link to anyone that I know of.
Having a referral is nothing negative at all Sally. You have done nothing wrong on AdoptionForums. R-e-l-i-e-f!!!! You are innocent completely and totally. :) :)
I would not worry about having a referral. It is actually a good thing. :) When you click on your referral explanation from the "General Board Usuage" info does it give you a different link than this one?

Thanks very much, Sally. And thanks for your participation on AdoptionForums!
Warm regards,
