are they going to cut subsidy rates like Oregon did????
Are they going to make it a big pain to renew at career rate???
I know they don't want to give respite any more,
It would just be nice to have a heads up on getting all the documentation gathered if I am going to have to do it.
I did it last year and the SW basically laughed at me because I sent about 200 pages of documentation stating the child's level of care needs.
I don't have that for this year as I basically feel the kid has RAD and the more you take him to all those people (OT, speech, drug pushing Dr., etc...) the worse he acts. Homeschooling and other stuff has worked much better.
Thanks for any information,
The Career rate has been cancelled. If you already have a career child, they should have sent you a new contract extending it until the child is 18. My behavioral was handled the same way. They denied career on my son who returned from residential because we asked one month too late. We appealed, which they did wrong, and lost. We haven't had any trouble with him, so we let it go.
So far, they've discussed medicaid cuts, but I think that only affects income based medicaid and not adoption medicaid.
They are threatening a government shutdown if they cannot come to a decision on the budget son. I'm not sure what happens then.
