I was born June 18, 1952 in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland. Spent
approximately 6-12 months in some sort of "orphanage" and then
was adopted by a US Airforce family stationed in St. Johns, Newfoundland.
Looking for birth mother. Any info that would help would be appreciated.
They have just passed a bill opening records in Newfoundland as well as a few other provinces, I am not certain how long it will take to get through legislation but phoning Vital Statistics would be your best bet, again not sure if you know this but you are entitled to your non id which I believe would include your name at birth.
Hugs

I am looking for a brother and sister born in St Johns Newfoundland and adopted by a US Airforce family in St Johns too... dates are different, but who knows. Was there any other siblings? How many children in your family? I have more information not alot but some. If you received your info from the Department up there in St Johns we may be able to figure out. God Bless

Do you think Delan is online or has read what i posted? I am very intereested in the reply. Especially if they have gotten infor from newfoundland.... Thank you
Where and when was your father adopted. Do you know the details of the family that adopted him? Does he have siblings in the adopted family? What hospital was he born at? Has he requested his information from Newfoundland yet? He can do that and speak with Vicki Walsh at the Government Center Post Adoptive Services. If he has done that then we can compare our information.
